“Ich bin der Seelenkiller” – the verse fragment of the lyrics of the “Seelenkiller”- song sounds wonderful when pumping out of loudspeakers, together with its club-worthy rhythms. This is the debut album “Seelenkiller” from the German Dark-Electro project “Schwarzes Fragment”.

“Schwarzes Fragment” tries to highlight the contrasts between lyrical verses and drifting electronic music. So it’s no wonder that the song “Seelenkiller” – which is also the Title of the album – was in the German Electronic Webcharts for almost eight weeks and is also part on DJ playlists of many discotheques. In 2009 “Schwarzes Fragment” won a placement in the top 6 at the worldwide Alternative band competition, ‘Sonic Seducer Battle of the Bands’.

The power of lively melodies, electronic drums and the strong synthesizer sounds begin the war against lyrics full of desire, isolation and dreariness. The idea behind the album -alike seven songs (+remixes) EP is set to combine the elements of the genres Electro, Darkwave and EBM.

The project accomplishes this task by doing a balancing act between creating a nineties theme of Electro-Darkwave sound with modern influences, Also keeping concentration not to fall back into creating music which sound similar to ones beforehand. The vocals are distorted with pain but are also supported by string ensembles plus pianos.

Fans of Cephalgy and older stuff of Blutengel and Apoptygma Berzerk and the Dark-Electro sound in general should give this project a try!

Hardly a more appropriate title could Maikko, the creative force behind mind.area, have chosen for his latest work. Stagnation means death. Movement on the other hand is progress. In addition to three new tracks on “stagnation // death”, there are three remixes of well-known colleagues, that makes just as clear as the new tracks, what is important to mind.area. Modification, revision, interpretation and expansion of ideas, without lapsing into meaningless repetitions, no copies. mind.area are almost art … if there was no compatibility to clubs and dancefloors.

But exactly this balancing act makes “stagnation // death” to a real highlight. Dance is movement!

The pre-prod versions of RMX like “Redemption”, “SM for SM” or “Metamorphose” have already been played all over the world by many Djs and “Suicide Girl – Heroïne RMX” has been chosen to feature on ‘Extreme Sündenfall Compilation Vol. 9′.

AD INFERNA is a band that consists of the members VOA Voxyd & VVA Arkames. “The song is asleep in the machine.” These lines from a song by Einstürzende Neubauten could also be the subtitle of the album “Long-distance side trip” by mind.area – behind which HUMAN DECAY member maikko A. is hiding.

Modern urban myths, set to music in an electronic sound universe in which the machines create the sound for humans. In a fascinating new way electronic Club-rhythms are melting with atmospheric Trance-elements. Connecting to the deep vortex of the dark-ambient industrial with distorted, ominous vocals and machine sounds. Thus creating the soundtrack for the dirty, gray cities of the modern era, in which just a few gleams of hope still flash. The labyrinthine lyrics reinforce this concept again, they are nevertheless created by “Caseee”, a mysterious mind.machine.

Where other acts just build snub-aggressive rhythms, mind.area set primarily on atmosphere and thus create a fascinating kaleidoscope of dark, electronic music, but absolutely danceable. Modern, unique and incredibly captivating. Still an insider tip! But not for long!??

Two years after their debut album “New Romantic Industry” was released, Halo Effect are very happy to announce that they’re coming back with a new studio album. The second album is called “The Fourth Zone” and will be released on 11/01/2009 as digital download at all common download stores like iTunes, Amazon, Napster, Rapshody, eMusic, etc. A CD-copy of the album will only be available as limited edition at their live gigs, which will start in October 2009.

The new album is very powerful, strong and dark, orientated on Synthpop / EBM / Industrial with more up-tempo songs on it: The music and the lyrics create a perfect mix, a deep and strange atmosphere influenced by the tragic days regarding of the Nuclear Reactor explosion in Chernobyl in 1986, until these difficult days today in which the people live over there.

But The Fourth Zone is not only the physical zone where the reactor is located: by analyzing the other side of the tragedy one can see a rebirth of life, a place which is no longer contaminated by human life: a pure world – a place where nature is recovering space and life – a new beginning.

The Fourth Zone could also be considered as the darkest place inside of us all: where we put anguish, suffering, disappointment, fragility and all broken dreams and hopes – which we don’t want to show or share – inside, like a hidden place of the soul, where we take refuge in the saddest moments of our life…in hope to find the forces going ahead.

But it could even be considered as a probable photo of the world one can forsee in the near future, if the humans continue destroying this dying planet.

In conclusion, this album offers several different points of reflection, this is a conceptual album speaking about the past, the present and the future.

The first maxi single, “Hammer the gear”, will be released on 09/01/09, followed by “Their G.O.D./Days of violence” on 10/01/09 and finally “It was nothing/Life goes on” on 11/16/09.
